Does barrel porting have any effect on shot velocity?
I've seen shotguns that have both barrel and choke porting. What's the point?

What is this crowd thing of them? Personally I've only shot over/unders and some SxS, so I was curious to what's the deal with the semi autos.

I've started shooting with B&P Easy Shot, and while there are ok, I was wondering if a much higher price cartridge makes a big difference.
