Looking hard at the target

I've heard this expression and I'm a bit baffled. If looking solely at the target, how is lead achived?

Looking hard at the target, when I hear or use that term to me it means total focus, both visual and mental. Lead is achieved by the input from your what you are seeing, to allow your brain to do "The Math" as I call it to get your hands (The gun)  in the place to deliver the shot and break the target. Without getting into all the complicated formulas out there it's something we do often in life. Have you ever thrown a ball to someone that was running and put it right where it needed to be for the catch? Frisbee, video games, baseball, football, LaCrosse all involve achieving the lead and hitting the target.  It does take you to trust yourself and allow the shot to happen. Hitting a moving target requires movement, a flow if you will or as it's often called a "feel", the only way to know it is to do it.  Good luck
