History

The GP (General Purpose) was praised for versatility, durability, and affordability. Used extensively by police and military forces worldwide as a reliable working gun for generations. Known for Greener choke bore innovation that won London Gun Trials of 1877, 1879 and Chicago Field Gun Trial 1879. Available in gauges 10, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, and 32. Production spanned early 1900s through 1999 when last GP (#11636) was sold. Available in boxlock and sidelock configurations. Company founded 1829, family business until 1965 when sold and original factory demolished. Revived 1985 with limited production.
