Just shot my first NSCA registered shoot - how do I know if my classification is right?
Shot my first NSCA registered event last weekend at the state shoot. I'm using a Browning Citori 725 with Modified choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 loads. My squad mates said I'd be in D class, but the posted results show me as C. I thought classifications were based on averages?

Good question - classifications can be confusing at first. NSCA uses your best 200 targets from the last year, not just one event. Since you shot well at a state shoot (tougher competition), that strong score might have bumped you up faster than expected. Check your NSCA member portal - it'll show your exact average and which scores counted. What was your actual percentage at that shoot?
