First NSCA registered shoot this weekend - what should I expect?
Just signed up for my first NSCA shoot at my local club. I've only shot practice rounds with friends before. I'll be using my Beretta A300 with a modified choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 loads. Nervous about the whole process - squadding, scoring, etc.

Welcome to the fun! First off, don't stress - everyone remembers their first registered shoot. Get there about 30 minutes early to check in, pay your fees, and get your scorecard. They'll assign you to a squad, usually 4-6 shooters. You'll rotate through stations shooting 50 or 100 targets total. Biggest tip: watch the shooter ahead of you to see the target presentation. Most clubs are super friendly to new shooters - just tell your squadmates it's your first time. What club are you shooting at?
