First NSCA registered shoot coming up - what should I expect?

Just signed up for my first NSCA shoot next month and honestly feeling a bit overwhelmed. I've been shooting casually at my local club for about 6 months with my Beretta A300 Outlander (Modified choke, usually 7.5 shot). What's the flow like at these events? Do I need to bring anything special besides my gun and shells?

Welcome to the competition side of things! First off, don't stress - everyone remembers their first registered shoot. You'll check in, get your scorecard, and they'll assign you to a squad. Flow is usually 50-100 targets depending on the shoot, with stations set up for different presentations (rabbits, crossing shots, etc.). Definitely bring your gun, shells (I'd bring at least 150 rounds for a 100-target event), eye/ear protection, and a shell pouch. Most importantly, bring a good attitude - squads are super helpful to new shooters. What club is hosting your shoot?
