Struggling with FITASC Parcours station 3 doubles - anyone else?
Been shooting FITASC for a couple seasons now, but station 3 on Parcours layouts keeps wrecking my score. Specifically the report pair where the first target is a midi going left-to-right, then the second is a standard quartering away. I'm shooting a Beretta 694 with Briley extended chokes (LM in bottom, IM in top) and Federal Gold Medal 1-1/8oz #8s at 1200fps. I keep missing the second bird behind, even when I think I'm swinging through properly.

That's a classic tough station - the quartering target fools a lot of people because it's actually accelerating as it moves away. What helped me was treating it more like a true crosser and giving it more lead than it looks like it needs. Try putting your IM choke in the bottom barrel for that first midi, then the LM for the quartering bird - the tighter pattern on the second shot might help. Also, watch your foot position; if you're set up for the first target, you might be limiting your swing for the second. What's your gun mount like on that second shot - are you coming off your cheek?
