First NSCA registered shoot coming up - what should I expect?

Just signed up for my first NSCA shoot next month at my local club. I've only shot a few practice rounds with friends. I'm running a Beretta A300 with a modified choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 loads. Nervous about the whole process - how early should I show up, what's the check-in like, and what do I need to bring besides my gun and shells?

Welcome to registered shoots! First off, don't stress - everyone was new once. Show up at least 45 minutes early to check in, pay your fees, and get your scorecard. You'll need your NSCA card (or you can join on-site), eye/ear protection, and a shell pouch helps. Most clubs have a squad meeting 15 minutes before start time where they'll go over the course. Your setup sounds solid for a beginner - that A300 with modified choke and #8s will handle most NSCA targets just fine. What's the round count for the shoot you signed up for?
