How do you check eye dominance?

A fellow shooter told me that I should check my eye dominance in order to see if I have to change my gun stock. How do I check it?

To check your eye dominance -  With both eyes open, point a finger at an object in the distance. Close first one eye then the other. The one that stays in line with the finger is your dominant eye.
