Do you see lead in feet (meters) or inches (cm)?
I find it curious that some people see lead as a short distance (inches / cm) and others in a much longer distance (feet / meters).

I see lead as the distance off the end of my barrels. I see it as a sight picture. So when I tell the people I am shooting with I mainly show them the distance by holding up two fingers.

I agree with Mr. Sampler. Most people see lead differently, either at the end of the barrels or out at the target. So explaining by talking feet or inches is usually not the best way in my experience.
