Anyone else feel like they plateau at station 8 on a sporting clays course?
Been shooting for about 2 years with my Browning Citori 725. I'm decent on most stations but station 8 always kills me - those crossing targets at 35 yards. I've tried a tighter choke (Improved Modified) and 1-1/8 oz #8 loads from Federal, but still missing more than I'd like. Just can't seem to get the lead right.

Station 8 can be a real humbler! I shoot a Beretta 686 and had the same issue. Try switching to #7.5 shot - the extra pellets help on those longer crossing shots. Also, don't overthink the lead; on that station I find it's more about keeping a smooth swing through the target than trying to calculate exact feet ahead. What's your follow-through like after you pull the trigger? Sometimes that's the difference between a hit and a miss.
