Anyone else feel like their scores plateau after 2 years?
Been shooting sporting clays for about 2.5 years now, mostly with my Browning Citori 725. I consistently shoot in the low 70s out of 100, but just can't seem to break into the 80s. I practice weekly, shoot a mix of 7.5 and 8 shot at 1,200 fps, and my club has a decent course. Just feels like I'm stuck.

Totally been there. The jump from the 70s to 80s is a classic plateau. A few things that helped me: First, I stopped just 'practicing' and started doing specific drills. For example, I'd spend a whole session just on true pairs from stations 3 and 4 at my local club. Second, I had a buddy video me - found out I was stopping my swing on the second target of a pair. Might be worth trying a lesson with a certified instructor; sometimes they spot something simple you're missing. What's your typical practice routine look like now?
