Struggling with consistent lead on crossing targets at 35 yards
Been shooting for about 2 years, mostly sporting clays. I'm using a Browning Citori with an Improved Cylinder choke, shooting 1-1/8 oz of #8 shot at 1200 fps. I can hit most stuff, but those long crossers from station 7 give me fits. I've tried sustained lead but I either stop my swing or shoot behind.

Those long crossers are tough! I shoot a Beretta 686 with similar setup. Try switching to pull-away lead on those - focus hard on the target, get your gun moving faster than it, then pull away just before you shoot. Don't measure the gap, just trust your eyes. What's your foot position like on that station? Sometimes opening up your stance a bit more toward the target helps maintain swing momentum.
