Struggling with consistency on long crossers at FITASC Compak - is it my lead method or something else?
Been shooting FITASC Compak for a couple years now, but I keep dropping those long crossers on stations 3 and 4, especially the right-to-left ones. I'm using a Browning 725 with a Modified choke, shooting 1-1/8 oz of #8 at 1200 fps. I've tried both sustained lead and pull-away, but my breaks are either behind or I stop the gun. Anyone else run into this?

I've been there with my Beretta 694 - those long crossers can be tricky. First, check your foot position; on those stations, I open up a bit more toward the trap house to get a better swing path. For the lead, on right-to-left, I find a hard focus on the target's front edge with a smooth pull-away works better than sustained. Also, try a Light Modified choke if you have one - gives you a bit more margin. What's your pre-shot routine like on those stations?
