Just started, can't hit anything with my new Beretta A300

Hey all, new shooter here. Got a Beretta A300 Outlander with a modified choke, shooting Federal Top Gun 7.5 shot at 1-1/8 oz. I'm at a local NSCA club, mostly shooting station 3 and 4 from 16 yards. I feel like I'm pointing right at the bird but keep missing behind it. Tried focusing hard on the target but same result.

Welcome to the sport! That's a classic beginner issue - you're probably stopping your gun swing when you pull the trigger. Instead of pointing at the bird, try swinging through it and keep that barrel moving. With that modified choke at 16 yards, you've got plenty of pattern, so focus on maintaining your swing speed. What's your eye dominance situation? Sometimes cross-dominant shooters have this problem too. Try practicing with some slow crossing targets first to get the feel of sustained lead.
