Struggling with consistent trigger timing on long crossers at FITASC Compak
Been shooting FITASC Compak for a few years now and my nemesis is the long, fast crosser from Station 3. I'm using a Browning 725 with a Skeet/IC choke combo, shooting 1 oz of #8 at 1200 fps. I feel like I see the lead, mount is solid, but I'm either shooting behind or snatching the trigger and missing over the top. Tried both sustained and pull-away leads.

That's a classic tough bird! I shoot a Beretta 694 for FITASC and had the same issue. For those long crossers, I stopped thinking about 'measuring' the lead and focused purely on my gun speed matching the target. Try this: mount earlier than you think, get the gun moving with the target, and let the trigger break happen almost as a surprise when your swing feels right. It's more about rhythm than calculation. Are you using the Skeet choke in the bottom barrel for that first shot?
