Struggling with consistency on long crossers at FITASC Compak - is it my gun mount or my lead?
Been shooting a Browning 725 with 30" barrels, using a Modified choke and 1-1/8 oz of #7.5 at 1200 fps. At my local club's FITASC layout, I keep dropping the 45-yard crossing rabbit from Station 3. I feel like I'm mounting consistently and seeing the bird, but my breaks are either behind or I miss completely. Tried both sustained and pull-away leads.

That's a tough target! First thing I'd check - are you sure you're not lifting your head slightly as you fire? On those long crossers, it's easy to peek and stop the gun. Try focusing hard on keeping your cheek welded to the stock through the entire follow-through. For lead, at 45 yards with that setup, I'd be thinking 8-10 feet of sustained lead, but honestly, sometimes you just have to shoot it enough to build the muscle memory. What's your foot position on that station? If you're too square to the trap, you might be running out of swing.
