Struggling with consistent trigger timing on long crossers at FITASC Compak

Been shooting FITASC Compak for a couple years now, mostly at the A class level. On those long, fast crossers from Station 3 (like the right-to-left rabbit at 40+ yards), I keep either shooting behind or stopping the gun. Using a Browning 725 with a Light Modified choke and 1-1/8 oz of #7.5 at 1200 fps. My mount and footwork feel solid, but the timing just feels off.

Those long crossers are a real test of patience, aren't they? I had the same issue until an NSCA Level III coach pointed out I was 'measuring' the lead instead of reacting to the visual gap. Try focusing purely on the front edge of the target and maintaining your swing speed - don't think about the barrel at all. A lot of guys I shoot with swear by a sustained lead on those, but for me, a smooth pull-away works better. Have you tried switching to a Modified choke for those specific targets to see if the tighter pattern gives you a bit more forgiveness on timing?
