Struggling with consistent lead on crossing targets at 35 yards

Been shooting for about 2 years, mostly sporting clays. I'm using a Browning Citori with a Modified choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 loads. At my local club, I keep missing station 8 where the target crosses left-to-right at about 35 yards. I've tried sustained lead but feel like I'm either over or under leading it.

Station 8 can be tricky! With a Modified choke at 35 yards, you've got a decent pattern but need to be precise. Instead of sustained lead, try pull-away - start with the gun just behind the target, accelerate through, and pull away as you fire. That helped me stop second-guessing my lead. What's your foot position like on that station?
