Just got a Beretta A300 Outlander for clays - what choke should I start with?

Hey all, brand new shooter here. Just picked up a Beretta A300 Outlander for sporting clays and trap. It came with a set of factory chokes (IC, M, IM, F). I've been using the Improved Cylinder for my first few outings, but I'm not sure if that's the right choice. Shooting at a local range with stations from 16-27 yards.

For a beginner with that setup, you're actually starting in a good spot with the Improved Cylinder. It's a versatile choke that'll give you decent patterns out to about 25 yards without being too tight. For most of those closer stations (16-20 yards), IC is perfect. When you get to the longer shots around 25-27 yards, try switching to the Modified choke - it'll tighten things up just enough without being punishing if your aim's a bit off. What loads are you shooting? That can make a difference too.
