Just got a Beretta A300 Outlander for clays - what chokes should I start with?

I'm brand new to sporting clays and just picked up a Beretta A300 Outlander. The gun came with a set of factory chokes (IC, M, F). I've been using the Improved Cylinder for everything at my local range, but I'm not sure if that's right. Should I stick with the factory chokes or look at something like a Muller or Carlson's?

Welcome to the sport! For a beginner with an A300, those factory chokes are actually a great place to start. I'd recommend using the Improved Cylinder for stations 1-5 (the closer stuff) and switching to Modified for stations 6-8 where the targets are farther out. Stick with those for your first few months to get consistent - no need to drop cash on aftermarket tubes yet. Once you're breaking 70% consistently, then maybe look at a Muller U2 or something similar. What distances are you shooting at your local range?
