Looking for a good all-around choke for my Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting
I've been shooting sporting clays for about two years now and I'm tired of swapping chokes between stations. I'm currently using the factory flush chokes that came with the gun. I mostly shoot Federal Top Gun 1-1/8 oz, 7.5 shot at 1200 fps. Is there a single choke constriction that would handle most presentations from 15 to 40 yards decently?

For an all-around sporting clays choke in your A400, I'd recommend a Light Modified or Improved Cylinder. I run a Briley Spectrum LM in my Browning 725 for exactly that purpose and it's my go-to for 80% of the course. It's tight enough for the longer crossers and report pairs but still opens up nicely for the close stuff. You might give up a few targets on the extreme ends, but it beats the constant swapping. What's the longest true pair you typically see at your club?
