Muller vs. Kicks for sporting clays - any real difference in pattern quality?

I've been running Muller U2 chokes in my Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon for a few years now, mostly shooting sporting clays with 1-1/8 oz of #8 at 1200 fps. Recently picked up a set of Kicks High Flyer chokes in the same constrictions (IC and LM). At 40 yards, my break percentage seems about the same between them. Anyone else done a side-by-side comparison and noticed any subtle differences in pattern consistency or edge hits?

Good question - I've run both in my Browning 725 for 5-stand. The Mullers gave me slightly denser centers, but the Kicks seemed to throw a more even pattern with fewer flyers. For true comparison, try patterning them with the same ammo (I use Federal Top Gun) on paper at 35 and 40 yards. The difference often comes down to forcing cone design - Mullers are more gradual. What loads are you running through them? That can change everything.
