Picking a choke for sporting clays - Muller vs. Kicks?

Been shooting a Beretta A400 Xcel for about 2 years now, mostly at my local club's sporting clays course. I've been using the factory chokes (IC and M) with 1-1/8 oz of #8 shot at 1200 fps. I'm starting to shoot more registered events and feel like my breaks could be more consistent, especially on longer crossers and true pairs. I've heard great things about both Muller and Kicks aftermarket chokes, but not sure which direction to go for sporting clays.

Good question - I've run both on my Browning 725 for sporting. For your A400, I'd lean toward Muller. Their U2 (light modified) and U3 (modified) tubes are fantastic for sporting. They seem to throw a slightly more uniform pattern than the Kicks chokes in Beretta guns, which helps with those edge hits on crossing targets. I run a U2 for 90% of my sporting targets, only switching to a U3 for really long stuff over 40 yards. What's the longest true pair you're struggling with at your club?
