Just got a Beretta A300 Outlander - what factory shells should I start with for trap?

Hey all, brand new shooter here. Just picked up a Beretta A300 Outlander with a modified choke for trap shooting. I've been to the range twice and tried some cheap Rio shells, but my patterns seem inconsistent at 16 yards. Should I stick with the Rios or switch to something like Federal or Winchester AA?

Welcome to the sport! For your A300 with a modified choke, I'd definitely recommend switching from the Rio target loads. Try a box of Winchester AA Light Target loads - 1 1/8 oz of #7.5 or #8 shot at 1200 fps. They're super consistent and pattern really well through modified chokes at trap distances. Federal Top Gun is another solid option if you want to save a few bucks. What's your average score looking like so far?
