My reloads are hitting low on station 8 skeet targets
I've been reloading 12ga target loads for about a year now using a MEC 600 Jr. My recipe is a once-fired Remington STS hull, 17.5gr of Alliant Extra-Lite, a Claybuster CB1118-12 wad, and 1oz of #8 lead shot. They pattern great at 25 yards, but I'm consistently missing low on the high house bird at station 8 with my Beretta A300. Anyone else run into this with light powder charges?

That's a classic velocity issue with light target loads. Your 17.5gr of Extra-Lite is probably giving you around 1150fps, which is fine for most stations but drops off on that long crossing shot. Try bumping up to 18.5gr of Extra-Lite or switch to 18.0gr of Alliant 20/28 - both will get you closer to 1200fps without excessive recoil. What choke are you running in that A300? Sometimes a tighter choke like Improved Modified can help compensate for lower velocity on those edge shots.
