My STS reloads are hitting low at station 3 - pattern issue?
Been reloading Remington STS hulls on my MEC 600 Jr. with 17.5gr of Alliant Extra-Lite, a WAA12SL wad, and 1oz of #8 lead shot. My Browning Citori with a Modified choke patterns great at stations 1 and 2, but I'm consistently missing low on the true pairs at station 3. Is it the load or my technique?

That's a classic symptom of a load that's a bit too slow for the longer shots. Your 17.5gr of Extra-Lite is on the lighter end for 1oz - you're probably getting around 1150 fps. For station 3, you want a bit more oomph to maintain pattern density at 35+ yards. Try bumping up to 18.5gr of Extra-Lite (check your manual!) or switch to a slightly faster powder like Green Dot. Also, what's your crimp look like? A shallow crimp can cause velocity variations.
