Just got a used Browning Citori - what's the first thing I should check?
Hey all, super excited - just picked up my first shotgun, a used Browning Citori 12ga O/U from a local shop. It's in decent shape but I'm brand new to this. Before I even think about taking it to the range, what should I be looking at? I've got some basic cleaning supplies.

Great first gun, those Citoris are tanks. First thing - safety check. Make sure it's unloaded, then check the locking lugs for any excessive wear or cracks when you open/close it. Run a bore snake through both barrels to check for obstructions and see if the chokes are tight. For a used gun, I'd also check the firing pins by dry firing (snap caps are ideal) to make sure they're not sticking. After that, a good clean and lube on the hinge and ejectors. What chokes did it come with?
