Looking at a used Browning Citori 725 - what should I check before buying?
Found a used Browning Citori 725 12ga at my local shop for what seems like a decent price. I've been shooting a Beretta A300 for about two years now and want to try an O/U for sporting clays. The gun looks clean in the case, but I'm not sure what to look for beyond obvious rust or dents. What are the key things to inspect on a used over/under?

Good find - the 725 is a solid gun. First, check the hinge pin for excessive wear by opening the action and looking for slop or wobble. Run a bore light down both barrels to check for pitting, especially near the chamber. Make sure the ejectors fire crisply and the safety engages properly. Ask if you can pattern it with some standard 1-1/8oz target loads to see how it shoots. What's the asking price and barrel length?
