Just bought my first shotgun - a used Beretta A300 - and wondering about barrel length
I'm brand new to sporting clays and picked up a used Beretta A300 semi-auto. It came with a 28" barrel, but I've seen guys at the club with everything from 26" to 32". For a beginner like me, does the barrel length really matter that much? I'm mostly shooting at my local club's beginner stations.

Great first gun choice - the A300 is super reliable and soft-shooting. For sporting clays, 28" is actually a sweet spot for beginners. It gives you decent swing momentum without feeling too long and unwieldy. I'd stick with what you've got for now and focus on your mount and follow-through. Once you're breaking 20+ consistently, then you might experiment with different lengths. What choke are you running in it?
