Anyone else notice a difference in swing feel between a 30" and 32" barrel on a Krieghoff K-80 for sporting clays?
I've been shooting a K-80 with 30" barrels for a few years now, mostly at my local club's sporting course. Recently tried a buddy's identical setup but with 32" tubes. Felt like the longer barrels wanted to 'lead' the target more, especially on long crossers from stations 3 and 5. My scores were about the same, but the swing just felt... different. Not bad, just different.

Yeah, that's a common observation with K-80s. The extra 2" of barrel moves the balance point forward just enough to change the swing dynamics - it's not just weight, it's where the weight is. Some shooters love that for maintaining momentum on long targets, others find it makes them over-lead on mid-range stuff. What's your current choke setup? Sometimes pairing a more open choke (like IC) with the 32" can help if you're feeling like you're fighting the gun. Might be worth patterning both setups at 40 yards to see if your point of impact shifts.
