Beretta 686 vs Browning 725 for sporting clays - anyone else struggle with this choice?
I've been shooting a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I for about 5 years now and love it, but I'm considering upgrading to a Browning 725 Sporting. My scores have plateaued around 85-90 at my local club. I'm worried the Browning's different balance and slightly higher comb might throw me off. Anyone else made this switch and regretted it?

I shot a 686 for years before moving to a 725 Sporting - took me about 500 shells to fully adjust. The Browning's weight is more forward, which actually helped me on longer crossers at stations 3 and 7. The higher comb gave me a more consistent mount, but I had to consciously keep my head down. Try renting one for a round if your club has demo guns - that's what convinced me. What's your current LOP and drop measurements on the 686?
