Anyone else notice a difference in pointability between flat and concave ribs on sporting clays guns?
I've been shooting a Browning Citori with a flat rib for years and recently tried a friend's Beretta 694 with a concave rib. The Beretta felt like it pointed more naturally on crossing targets, especially at stations 3 and 5. My flat-rib Browning seems to require more conscious effort on those presentations. Wondering if this is just personal preference or if there's something to it.

Good observation - I've noticed the same thing with my Perazzi MX8 (flat rib) versus my buddy's Krieghoff K-80 (concave). The concave rib tends to create a different sight picture that some shooters find faster for crossing targets because it reduces glare and can make the bead appear more prominent. It's definitely personal preference though - I know several top shooters who swear by flat ribs for consistency. Have you tried adjusting your mount or eye position with your Browning to see if that helps? Sometimes a slight cast adjustment on the stock can make a big difference too.
