Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting vs Browning Maxus Sporting for sporting clays?

I've been shooting a Browning Citori for about two years now and want to try a semi-auto for sporting clays to reduce recoil on longer practice days. I'm torn between the Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting and the Browning Maxus Sporting. Both feel good in the store, but I'm wondering about real-world reliability and how they handle different loads, especially lighter target loads.

I've owned both, and you really can't go wrong with either for sporting clays. The A400's Kick-Off system is fantastic for recoil reduction—you can shoot 200 shells in a day and still feel fine. The Maxus is a bit lighter and swings quicker for me, but the A400 cycles everything from 7/8 oz target loads to 3" magnums more reliably in my experience. Both will break targets just fine; it comes down to which one fits you better and points more naturally. Have you had a chance to pattern them to see which gives you a better shot picture?
