Beretta A400 vs Browning Maxus for sporting clays - which handles better?

I've been shooting a Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus for about a year now, mostly for waterfowl, but I'm getting more into sporting clays. I've been shooting around 70-80/100 at my local club. A buddy let me try his Browning Maxus Sporting, and it felt really different - lighter swing but more noticeable recoil. Trying to decide if I should stick with what I know or switch platforms for this discipline.

Good question - I've owned both. The A400's rotating bolt and kick-off system definitely tames recoil better, which helps on long days shooting 100+ targets. The Maxus is quicker between stations since it's lighter, but you'll feel those 1-1/8 oz target loads more. For sporting clays specifically, I'd stick with your A400 and maybe add a Briley extended choke set - the consistency matters more than quick handling. What's your current choke setup for sporting?
