My new Lab puppy won't sit still for training - help!
Just got my first bird dog, an 8-week-old black Lab. I'm trying to start with basic obedience like 'sit' and 'stay', but he's all over the place. I'm using treats and praise, but he gets distracted after about 30 seconds. Is this normal for a puppy, or am I doing something wrong?

Totally normal! At 8 weeks, you're basically dealing with a furry toddler with ADHD. Keep sessions super short - like 5 minutes max, and end on a positive note. Try training right before meals when he's hungry, and use high-value treats like small pieces of hot dog. The key with Labs is making it fun - they're eager to please but get bored easily. How old was he when you got him, and what kind of treats are you using?
