Hevi-Shot vs. Boss for late-season geese?
Been using Hevi-Shot #2s in my Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus with a Modified choke for geese out to about 40 yards. Pattern is good, but I'm seeing more cripples on those big, late-season Canadas. A buddy swears by Boss #3s. Anyone have real-world experience comparing these two for tough, high-bird scenarios?

Good question. I've run both. For those late-season, high-flying Canadas, I've personally had better luck with Boss #3s over Hevi-Shot #2s. The Boss seems to hold its pattern density a bit tighter at 45-50 yards, which is where you need it. I'd try a Full choke with the Boss #3s and see if that cleans up your cripples. What's your typical shot distance when you're seeing the issue?
