Struggling with true pairs on station 8 at my local course - any tips?

My club's station 8 has a true pair with a crossing rabbit and a high overhead teal. I'm using a Beretta 686 with IC choke and 1-1/8oz #8 loads at 1200fps. I keep hitting the rabbit clean but missing the teal completely - feels like I'm rushing the second shot.

That's a classic tough station! For true pairs, I'd suggest switching to a Modified choke - gives you a bit more reach for that teal without sacrificing the rabbit. Try focusing on the rabbit first, get your follow-through, then bring your eyes back to the teal's line. Don't rush the mount on the second bird - take that extra half second to get your cheek weld right. What's the yardage on that teal? If it's 35+ yards, you might even consider #7.5 shot for a denser pattern.
