Just started sporting clays - what's a good all-around choke for my Beretta A300?
I've been out three times now with my new Beretta A300 Outlander and I'm getting smoked on the longer crossing shots. Using the factory modified choke that came with it, but I'm missing way too many birds past 30 yards. Should I be switching chokes between stations? That seems like a hassle for a beginner.

Welcome to the addiction! For that A300, I'd stick with an improved cylinder or light modified for now - it'll handle 90% of what you'll see on most courses. I run a Briley Light Modified in my 686 and it crushes everything from 20-40 yards. Don't sweat switching chokes yet - focus on your footwork and lead first. What shells are you running? Sometimes a switch to Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8s at 1200fps can make more difference than the choke.
