Struggling with true pairs on station 7 - any tips for the second shot?
Been shooting sporting clays for about 2 years now, mostly at my local club. Station 7 has me stumped - it's a true pair with a crossing rabbit followed by a high teal. I'm hitting the rabbit consistently with my Beretta A400 using IC choke and 1-1/8oz #8s, but I'm always late on the teal. I've tried mounting earlier and swinging faster, but I'm still missing behind.

That's a tough station - I've been there! The key with true pairs is planning your second shot before you even call for the birds. On that station, try focusing 70% on the teal and 30% on the rabbit. Take the rabbit quickly with your existing swing, but don't stop - let your momentum carry you right into the teal's line. Your IC choke is fine for the distance, but you might try a slightly faster load like Federal's Top Gun 1-1/8oz at 1300fps for a tighter pattern on the teal. What's your foot position like when you're setting up for that station?
