Just started sporting clays - what's a good all-around choke for my Beretta A300?
Hey folks, I'm brand new to sporting clays and just picked up a Beretta A300 Outlander. I've been to the range twice and keep switching between the chokes it came with (IC and Mod). On some stations I feel like I'm missing by a foot, on others I'm dusting them. Should I just stick with one choke for the whole course or keep swapping?

Welcome to the sport! For your A300, I'd start with a Modified choke and stick with it for a while. It's a great middle-ground that'll handle most presentations from 25-40 yards. Swapping chokes constantly as a beginner just adds another variable - focus on your mount and swing first. Once you're breaking 70% consistently, then play with chokes. What loads are you running with it?
