Struggling with my lead on the hard left targets from station 3 in American Trap
Been shooting for about 2 years, mostly ATA events. I can crush the straightaways and right angles, but those lefts from station 3 keep giving me fits. I'm shooting a Browning Citori CX with a Modified choke, using 1-1/8 oz of #8 shot at 1200 fps. I feel like I'm swinging through but just getting dust.

Station 3 lefts are tricky because they're already moving away from you. Try a sustained lead instead of swing-through - hold your muzzle about 2 feet in front of the bird's beak and maintain that gap as you swing. With that Modified choke and #8s, you've got a good pattern for 16-yard, so it's likely timing. Are you keeping your head down on the stock through the entire shot? Sometimes we lift just enough to miss.
