Struggling with sustained lead on long handicap targets from 27 yards

I've moved back to the 27-yard line in American Trap and my break percentage has dropped from 90% to maybe 70% on the long left and right targets. I'm using a Browning Citori with a Full choke, shooting 1-1/8 oz of #7.5 shot at 1200 fps. I'm trying to use a sustained lead, but I feel like I'm either over-leading and shooting behind, or rushing and stopping the gun. Anyone else hit this plateau?

Been there! That 27-yard line is a different beast. First, try a slightly tighter choke if you have one - maybe an Extra Full like a Briley Titan or Muller U3. Your #7.5 shot is good, but at that distance, pattern density is king. For the sustained lead, don't think about a fixed distance. Watch the target's speed out of the house and match it with your muzzle, then add just a target's width of lead and keep moving smoothly. The break should almost surprise you. What's your foot position like on those stations?
