Struggling with consistency on my 27-yard handicap targets - any advice?
I've been shooting American Trap for about 5 years and recently moved back to the 27-yard line. I'm using a Browning Citori with a Modified choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #8 loads. My scores are all over the place - some days I'll break 23/25, others I'm barely hitting 18. I feel like I'm reading the targets okay, but my leads feel inconsistent.

Been there! The 27-yard line is where things get real. First, try tightening up to a Full choke - at that distance, you need all the pattern density you can get. I'd also suggest switching to #7.5 shot for better energy retention. What really helped me was focusing on my foot position - make sure you're squared up to the house and not leaning. Are you using a sustained lead or pull-away method? Sometimes switching that up can make a big difference.
