Struggling with consistency on my handicap yardage in American Trap

I've been shooting for about two years and just moved back to the 23-yard line. My scores have dropped from the 21-yard line. I'm using a Browning Citori with a Modified choke, shooting 1-1/8 oz of Federal Top Gun 7.5 shot at 1200 fps. I feel like I'm seeing the target well but missing more behind or below.

That's a classic challenge when moving back. At 23 yards, that Modified choke is probably fine, but you might want to try a tighter pattern—I'd suggest a Full or even an Extra Full if your gun patterns it well. More importantly, check your foot position. Are you still set up the same as at 21 yards? You might need to open your stance a touch more toward the house to help your body rotate smoothly on those longer angles. Also, on those longer shots, try focusing on a sustained lead rather than a snap shot—watch the target over your barrel for a split second before you pull. What's your foot position like now?
