Station 4 doubles in American Skeet - can't seem to get the second bird consistently

Been shooting American Skeet for about 2 years now, mostly with my Beretta A400 Xcel. I'm fine on singles, but when it comes to station 4 doubles, I keep missing the second target (the low house bird). I'm using a Skeet choke and 1 oz of #9 shot at 1200 fps. I feel like I'm rushing the second shot and maybe not getting my gun back down properly after the first.

Station 4 doubles are tricky because you're dealing with two different angles in quick succession. What helped me was focusing on my feet - make sure you're properly squared to the low house for that second shot. Don't rush the transition; get a solid mount on the high house bird first, then smoothly pivot to the low house. Try practicing just the low house single from station 4 to build confidence. What's your gun mount like - are you bringing it all the way back to your shoulder between shots?
