Station 4 high house giving me fits on doubles in American Skeet

Been shooting American Skeet for about 2 years now, mostly with my Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting. I'm solid on singles but when we get to the doubles on station 4, I consistently miss the second bird (the high house target). I'm using a Skeet choke and 1 oz of #9 shot at 1200 fps. Just can't seem to get the timing right for that second shot.

Station 4 doubles are tricky! I shoot a Browning Citori 725 and had the same issue. For that second high house bird, try starting your gun mount a split-second earlier than feels natural. Don't wait to see the first target break - as soon as you pull that first trigger, your cheek should already be coming back to the stock for the second shot. Also, make sure you're not dropping your head to watch the first target break. Keep your eyes on the second bird's flight path the whole time. What's your typical hold point for that station?
