Struggling with station 4 high house in American Skeet - feel like I'm always behind

Been shooting American Skeet for about 2 years now, mostly with my Beretta A400 Xcel. I'm using a Skeet choke and Federal Top Gun 2.75" 1oz #9 loads. At station 4, the high house target just seems to get away from me. I've tried holding a bit higher on the house and mounting earlier, but I'm still missing behind consistently. Anyone else have this issue?

Station 4 high house is tricky because it's that perfect angle where the target's moving away from you. Try holding about a foot above the window edge instead of right on it - that gives you a better visual pickup. I shoot a Browning Citori with similar loads, and I found moving my hold point about a yard further out from the house helped me see the line better. What's your gun mount timing like - are you mounting as you call for the bird or before?
