Struggling with station 4 high house in American Skeet - feels like I'm always behind
Been shooting American Skeet for about 2 years with my Beretta A400 Xcel. I'm using a Skeet choke and Federal Top Gun 1-1/8oz #9 loads. At station 4, the high house target just seems to get away from me. I've tried holding at the edge of the window and mounting as I call, but I'm still missing behind consistently. Anyone else have this issue?

Station 4 high house is a tricky one - it's coming almost straight at you before it breaks. Try holding your gun a bit higher, maybe just above the window edge, and focus on mounting smoothly as you call. Don't swing with it; shoot it like a going-away target. With your setup, you might also try an Improved Cylinder choke for a slightly tighter pattern at that 21-yard crossing. What's your lead picture look like when you break it?
