Struggling with consistent leads on Station 8 high house in American Skeet
Been shooting American Skeet for a few years now, but I can't seem to lock in my lead on the high house target from Station 8. I'm using a Beretta A400 Xcel with a Skeet choke, shooting 1 oz of #9 shot at 1200 fps. I've tried holding at the corner of the window and swinging through, but my breaks are inconsistent - sometimes I'm behind, sometimes I'm dusting it.

Station 8 high house is tricky because the angle makes it appear slower than it is. Try holding about a foot below the window edge instead of at the corner - that gives you more swing room. Focus on accelerating your gun smoothly through the target rather than trying to match its speed. What's your gun mount timing like on that station? Sometimes rushing the mount throws everything off.
